Aki Miyoshi

Developer, published author, and technical educator.

✤ For the past six years, I've worked closely with Japanese frontend developers as a teacher and author, focused on React, TypeScript, and Next.js. That work has given me a close, first-hand view of how Japanese developers discover, learn, and adopt new tools.

✤ I've taught 1,200+ developers, published 240+ technical articles, and written 30+ books — including a title with Shoeisha, one of Japan's leading technical publishers (also released in Korea), and Japan's best-selling introductory React book.

✤ What I care about most is making complex engineering concepts clear and beginner-friendly in natural Japanese, without losing technical accuracy.

What I do

Japan is one of the largest developer markets in the world, yet one of the hardest to reach from outside. That's the gap I close. Three ways I do it:

  • 01
See how Japan receives your product Japanese developers are already writing about your tool — what they compare it to, where they get stuck, why they leave. It's all in Japanese, invisible to your team. I follow it and report back in English.
  • 02
Reach developers in their own language Docs, tutorials, and articles written natively for Japanese developers — not translated from English — and published where they actually look: Zenn, Qiita, and beyond.
  • 03
Turn early interest into adoption Production case studies and book-length learning paths. In Japan, these are what move a tool from 'something I tried' to 'something we adopted' — and they're nearly impossible to produce from outside the country.

Published work

In Japan, a published book is what makes a technology feel safe to adopt. I've written that book — many times — for React, Next.js, and TypeScript. I can write it for yours.
